ignition serves: November opportunity!

Each month, from October – May, the amazing Sooky McFadden puts together a unique serving opportunity specifically for our middle school students. They range in intensity, duration and specific task, and have been instrumental in increasing our focus on sharing the love of Jesus through serving our neighbors. If you haven’t had a chance to get on board just yet, I encourage you to check out the awesome project she has set up for us for November!

Here are some of the details:

WHEN:  Sat, Nov 15th, 12pm to 4pm

WHAT:  Ringing the Salvation Army bell

WHERE:  Giant Food at Muddy Branch Square (by Paisano’s, Rightime   Pediatrics & First Watch)

SIGN UP: Sign up for one hour slots (you can sign up for more than one slot!)

QUESTIONS:  Contact Sooky McFadden, swparkmcfadden@yahoo.com

We will meet up at Giant to ring the bell and man the red kettle!  Depending on the weather, if you play an instrument (that doesn’t require electricity) or if you want to sing Christmas carols, we may be able to factor that in!  Passers-by love holiday music to get them in the mood to give!

And just in case you need a little more inspiration, here’s a great story from one of our amazing Olympians, Lolo Jones, about the impact of Salvation Army in her life and her desire to give back!
